Kidney Beans & Sabudana Payasam



Ingredients:

Red Kidney Beans - 1 Cup.
Sabudana /Javvarisi - 1/2 Cup.
Coconut milk - 2 Cups.
Jaggery - 1 Cup.
Ghee - 2 tablespoon.
Cashews- few.
Elachi/cardamom - few .

Preparation:

  • Soak the kidney beans overnight  and  peel the skin in the morning.Boil the peeled beans in water till cooked.

  • Soak the sabudana in water for 1 hour .Boil this separately in water till it becomes translucent.

  • Boil the shredded jaggery in water separately.
  • Here I am using readymade coconut milk.
  • Roast little cashews and raisins in ghee.
Method:
  • Grind the Cooked beans in blender.
  • Heat the coconut milk in a pan and add 1/2 cup of water to this milk.As am using readymade coconut milk i am adding water .
  • Add the grinded beans to the milk and stir continuously.
  • Now you can add the cooked sabhudana and liquefied jaggery.
  • Add elachi for flavor and bring it to boil .Wait till it becomes lighlty thick .
  • Finally add roasted cashews and raisins.
  • Serve Hot or Cold .
Delicious  Kidney Beans & Sabudana Payasam is ready.
