Cheera Curry Receipe
Ingredients :
- Green/Red spinach(Cheera) - 1 bunch
- Moong dal - 1/2 cup
- Shallots- 3 no(cut into small pieces)
- Tomato -1
- Green chillies - 3 nos(sliced)
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt - As reqd
For seasoning:-
Method :
- Wash and clean the spinach well.
- Separate the leaves from the stem and cut them to small sections.
- Pressure cook moong dal ,shallots,chillies,tomato.
- Then add the spinach to the dal .
- Do not close the lid while cooking spinach.
- Add half tablespoon red chilly powder,tamarind pulp and salt
- Bring this to boil and start seasoning.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan or a kadai.
- Splutter mustard seeds.
- Add the chopped small onions and curry leaves.
- Saute, till the onions turn golden brown.
- Pour the seasoning over the curry and mix well.
Tasty Cheera curry ready.
