Shangai Rice
Ingredients:
- Basmati Rice - 2 cups.
- Garlic - 6 nos
- Ginger - 1 piece
- Red Chilli - 6 nos
- Carrot, Beans, Cabbage , Capsicum - 1/2 cup.
- Onion - 1/2 cup.
- Leeks, Celery leaves - 1 hand.
- Green Chilli - 2 nos.
- Oil - 2 tablespoon.
- Soya Sauce, Vinegar - 1/2 tablespoon.
- Butter - 1 teaspoon.
- Salt as needed.
Methods:
- Wash the Basmati rice well before cooking and fry in butter for few minutes.Then take the rice with 3-3/4 cup water and a little salt and boil.
- Take a frying pan and fry the onions, green chilies and other vegetables in oil and add little salt to it.
- Next, add soya sauce,vinegar leeks,celery leaves to it.
- Make paste with Ginger ,garlic and red chillies ,add this paste to vegetables ,close the pan and cook for few minutes.
- Add the cooked rice and mix well with very light hands so that the rice grain doesn't break. Cook for about 3 minutes.
- Take this Shanghai rice out in a rice serving dish.Garnish with dry fruits and green coriander leaves.
