Kadala Curry


Ingredients:

Black Chickpeas - 1 cup (Soaked in water overnight).
Onions - 1 Chopped
Tomato - 1 chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tablespoon.
Turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon.
Chilly powder - 1 tablespoon.
Coriander powder - 2 tablespoon.
Salt to taste.
Green Chilies - 2 lengthwise sliced.
Curry leaves - few.
Rice flour - 1 tablespoon.
Water 

Preparation :

  • Pressure cook the black chickpeas along with the other ingredients, except rice flour.
  • Leave it till 5 whistles and switch off the flame.
  • Let the pressure cool down and open the lid and check the chickpeas if cooked.
  • Take 1 tablespoon of rice flour mix  it with water, Pour this into the cooker and  bring it to boil.
  • Adjust salt and water.
  • Adding rice flour solution will thicken the curry.
  • Enhance the flavor of curry by seasoning it with mustard seeds , curry leaves and dry red chilies 
Kadala curry is served with Rice Puttu.
