Potato Fry


Ingredients:

Boiled potatoes - 3
Onions -1/2 cup
Tomato - 1 chopped
Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
Chilly powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste

for seasoning:

Oil - 1 tablespoon.
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon.
Curry leaves - few

Method:

  • Boil the potatoes in water with some salt and turmeric in it.
  • Take a pan pour some oil , When it is hot enough add mustard,curry leaves .
  • Now add onions saute it till it is golden brown then add tomatoes to it
  • You can add chilly powder and turmeric at this stage and close the lid so the raw smell of chilly powder will be gone.
  • When tomato is completely cooked add potatoes to this gravy and press the potatoes a little.
  • Now potato fry is ready.


Main dish Suggestion:
Coconut rice, Curd rice, Paripu curry.
