Beans Poriyal



Ingredients:

Beans - 1 cup.
Onion  -1/2 cup.
Red chilies - 1 to 2.
Shredded coconut - 1 tablespoon (optional).
Salt- to taste.
Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.


For Seasoning:

Oil- 1 tablespoon
Mustard seeds - 1 tablespoon
Urad dal  - 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves - 4 to 5.

Method:

  • Wash beans and cut into small pieces.
  • Now take a pan ,pour some oil and add mustard.
  • As the mustard seeds starts to splutter add red chilies,urad dal,curry leaves to it.
  • Then add onions and as it turns cooked add beans ,little salt and turmeric powder .
  • Add little water,shredded coconut  and close the pan with lid.
  • Adding coconut is completely optional.
  • After ten minutes let water get dry and beans get cooked.
  • Now beans poriyal is ready 
  • Goes well with rice as side dish๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.
