Meen Curry





Ingredients:

Any fleshy fish (King fish,Pomfret , Salmon ,Tilapia etc.)- 500 Gms
Grated coconut - 2 cup
Ginger - 1 Medium piece
Green Chili -1 Nos
Tomato - 1 Medium (sliced)
Curry leaves - 2 sprigs
Chilli powder - 1/2 Tablespoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tablespoon
Kokum (Kudampuli / Malabar Tamarind) - 3 Nos
Coconut oil - 2 Tablespoon
Salt to taste
Water

Method:
  •  Clean the fish and keep it aside.
  •  Add chili powder, turmeric powder and mix well with coconut.
  •  Grind the above mix along with sufficient water.
  •  Take a wok add chopped ginger,sliced tomato ,green chili,kudam puli or tamarind extract.
  •  Add the grinded paste and bring it to boil. 
  • When it is boiling add the fish pieces ,let this boil for 1o to 15 minutes, till the gravy becomes thick and fish is cooked.
  • Then add curry leaves and switch off the flame.
  •  Serve after 10-15 minutes.

Meen Curry is ready to serve.
